How Everything Started

Saporito is a story of friendship and Italian tradition.

We are Andrea and Edoardo — lifelong friends who grew up together, went to school together in Rome, and shared a love for food and family meals.

For years we worked in hospitality in the UK, learning what quality and good service really mean.

But we always dreamed of creating something of our own.

The lasagne we prepare today comes from a nonna recipe — layered with tradition and care, just like it was made in Italian family kitchens.

Those memories, and our passion for authentic Italian food, inspired Saporito.

We wanted to bring a true taste of Italy to the UK. And Saporito is our way of sharing a piece of home.

Our Mission 

At Saporito, our mission is to bring the true taste of Italy to the UK, sharing the richness, warmth, and authenticity of Italian culinary tradition.

We are passionate about celebrating one of Rome’s most beloved street foods: the supplì.

A golden, crispy risotto ball with a heart of mozzarella, the supplì is an icon of Roman street culture — simple, comforting, and irresistibly delicious.

Our goal is to make supplì as popular in the UK as it is in Rome through high-quality ingredients, traditional recipes, and handcrafted preparation — one bite at a time.

The Supplì – A Roman Memory

In Rome, supplì are part of everyday life. Quick to eat, impossible to forget. Each supplì hides its most beautiful secret: a heart of melted mozzarella.

We call it “al telefono” — because the melted mozzarella stretches like a telephone wire when you pull it apart.

It’s a simple detail, but it’s pure magic.

We are proud to honour this Roman tradition with care and passion, making every supplì by hand using traditional recipes.
